VTCT Level 3 Diploma in Nail Technology

Course Overview

This the ideal advanced vocational course for any budding or ambitious nail technician, seeking to gain a highly regarded qualification. It is a highly recognised qualification that is accepted across the UK for working in salons, nail bars, hotels and spas or as a freelance nail technician. As an internationally accredited qualification you can also work across the globe, on cruise liners or in other international beauty sectors.

Throughout this qualification, you will develop your knowledge and understanding of relevant anatomy and physiology, health and safety, client care and nail products and equipment. You will develop a range of technical skills enabling you to provide a variety of nail enhancement treatments using different techniques. You will also develop interpersonal skills that will assist you to communicate effectively with clients.

Course Duration          15 -18 weeks (1 day a week)

Course Fee                         £1920

Entry Requirements

· No previous experience - you do not need a Level 2 Nails qualification to complete this course

· Good standard of English sufficient to complete the course competences and online examinations

· Students must be over 16 years old to enrol on this course

 

Course Structure

· Provide manicure treatments

· Provide pedicure treatments

· Apply and maintain nail enhancements

· Monitor and maintain health & safety practice in the salon

· Client care and communication in beauty-related industries

· Maintaining personal health and wellbeing

· Design and apply nail art

· Enhance nails using electric files

· Display stock to promote sales in a salon

· Promote products and services to clients in a salon

 

Employment and Progression

This qualification is fully accepted for licencing purposes so you can open your own nail salon or take your career to the next leave as a nail salon manager/advanced Nail technician. You could also decide to take your qualification abroad and work internationally in a hotel or on a cruise ship. Or share your skills and become a lecturer at a beauty college.
